HMS ANTRIM RETURNING FROM THE FALKLANDS 17TH JULY 1982

Builder Fairfield, Govan , Clyde
Laid Down 20th January 1966
Launched 19th October 1967
Completed 14th July 1970
Decommissioned June 1984
Further Service Sold to the Chilean Navy on 11th June 1984 and renamed Almirante Cochrane. During her service with the Chilean Navy she received some modification including a slightly enlarged flightdeck and a rebuilt hangar. She was the last operational County Class Destroyer in service and finally paid off on December 7th 2006.
Disposal In February 2010 she was swept from her moorings alongside Talcuahano Naval Base by a Tsunami after and earthquake. She was swept across to the other side of the bay, where she ran aground. Having been refloated she was reberthed alongside the Naval Base. She finally left Chile on Dec 11th 2010 for a 3 month tow to China where she was broken up.

Further Service Was to have been sold to the Egyptian Navy but the sale fell through.
Disposal Hangar removed in 1982 and used to repair HMS Glamorgans battle damaged hangar. Devonshire was sunk as a target in 1984 during weapons trials.

HMS FIFE IN BREST, NORTHERN FRANCE - JANUARY 1987

Completed 21st June 1966
Decommissioned June 1987
Further Service Sold to the Chilean Navy and renamed Blanco Encelada in June 1987. Extensively modernised with extended flight deck and new hangar during her service with the Chilean Navy.
Disposal Decommisioned on 12th December 2003 and sold for scrap in November 2005

HMS GLAMORGAN - INDIAN OCEAN 1984

Completed 13th October 1966
Decommissioned September 1986
Further Service Sold to Chile and renamed Almirante Latorre in September 1986. Paid off in 1998. Little modification was undertaken during her service with the Chilean Navy and she retained her seaslug fit until the end of her service.
Disposal Used as an Accomodation ship and a source for spares for other ships of the class. Sank while under tow to the breakers in December 2005.

Further Service Sold to Chile and renamed Capitan Prat. Shortly after entering service she ran aground and was badly damaged but was repaired and remained in service until 11th August 2006.
Disposal Towed to Mexico and scrapped in 2009.
